{"id":296,"date":"2010-05-13T07:55:48","date_gmt":"2010-05-13T07:55:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jwforum.net\/news\/2010\/05\/13\/jehovahs-witness-claims-she-was-fired-for-beliefs-2\/"},"modified":"2010-05-13T07:55:48","modified_gmt":"2010-05-13T07:55:48","slug":"jehovahs-witness-claims-she-was-fired-for-beliefs-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jwforum.net\/portal\/jehovahs-witness-claims-she-was-fired-for-beliefs-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Jehovah&#8217;s Witness claims she was fired for beliefs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify\">Jehovah&#8217;s Witness claims she was fired for beliefs<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">A care assistant from northern Sweden has reported her employers after they allegedly fired her for her religious beliefs.\u00a0The woman, a Jehovah\u2019s Witness from Ume\u00e5, allegedly told a colleague that the Bible said that people were not meant to be born ill.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">Her comments came after her colleague said she could see a purpose in the fact that their patient, a disabled girl, had been born with disabilities, as she had brought happiness to so many people. \u00a0The woman also gave her view on homosexuality, when asked by the colleague, according to the V\u00e4sterbottens-Kuriren newspaper.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">Following the conversation, the woman was called by her boss at a private care company who criticized the woman\u2019s views on homosexuality.
