This is not bragging, I’m just explaining how kind & merciful Jehovah is.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I’ve been very down & unmotivated for a few months.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I’ve been missing my 4 kids, & had other setbacks. Did hear from one tho’ which was very encouraging.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Today I did not have a partner & asked about six brothers at the Hall but all were busy. Went out with 2 brothers but worked solo (except for other help, as will soon become obvious).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
At the very first door, met a mom & daughter (17 ?) who were busy cleaning but came to the door a little reluctantly anyway. Explained the Kingdom & made a presentation of the Teach book, showed all the blue pictures in front & suggested a return visit for a Bible discussion. Mom declined but daughter accepted.<\/div>\n

Then was walking down the street looking for my partners, & this young back man (24 ?) came out of a secured & fenced apartment building. I was in the process of passing him by when I dropped my Bible & stopped to pick it up. (I rarely drop my Bible, ?? but I have been getting clumsy & forgetful.)\u00a0<\/div>\n

By that time he had come out of the gate close by so I started talking to him. We greeted each other & he said, “Have a blessed day,” so i said, “Oh, you must be a Christian, & blah, blah, blah.”<\/div>\n

Well, he took a magazine & we arranged for me to return on Monday to start a Bible learning program. I try to avoid the word “study” because it sounds like drudgery work to so many people.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I invited him to the meetings & he said the Tuesday nite Bible study sounded good. I said we had a nice congregation but that we had one problem.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“What’s that?” \u00a0<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I said, “Too many white people. We need some pepper with the rice.”<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He was staggering in the street laughing & I think he’s going to come on Tuesday. I’ll know better when I see him on Mon.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
So I leave him & go down the street still looking for the 2 brothers. I unknowingly pass them while they are in a cul de sac & out of sight. I come to the next apartment complex which is open & decide to knock on the first door to ask if they had been there.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
There’s loud Mexican music & I wait for the singer to take a breath to ring the bell, twice. I see a woman go out the back door but she can’t hear me because of the loud music. Then I see the 2 brothers back at the sidewalk & go talk to them a moment.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Then the woman’s son in the back of the house apparently tells her to answer the door. I turn around (I don’t know why, maybe i heard something,) to see the door open & her looking at me. So I go back & tell her who I am & what I’m doing & make a presentation. She’s stand offish at first but slowly warms up as I talk in a friendly manner. After about 5 or 8 or 10 minutes (I really have no idea because at this point I’m in “the Zone”) & she accepts a Bible study.<\/div>\n

Then I link up with the brothers & we walk back towards the car. So now I’m 3 for 3 (all praise to Jehovah God). One wouldn’t come to the door, so i won’t count that one & ruin the math.\u00a0<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
On the way, there is this couple going down the street with a shopping cart.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Now it’s obvious to anyone with half a brain that they’re homeless, but I’m totally oblivious & blind to this because I’m having a really wonderful time right now & just want to talk to more people. We have a nice conversation & they accept a magazine but I can’t follow thru because they tell me they have no address or phone because they’re homeless, which comes as a bit of a surprise to me. We part ways in a very friendly manner. \u00a0<\/div>\n

I rejoin the bothers who have been patiently waiting for I have absolutely no idea how long & we go make some return visits.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Well it was just a great & wonderful day which I would have completely missed if a brother & a sister had not encouraged me to go out when I really just wanted to stay home & mope about & be down all by myself.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Now i have all these obligations & can’t stay home this next week or for the foreseeable future.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
And I’m absolutely convinced that all this happened because JH wanted to help me personally, in spite of all my many failings, which since it’s such a nice day, why spoil it? So I won’t mention them any further.\u00a0<\/div>\n
