I live in Saitama 48 miles of the branch and we have no report that the branch has been damaged. 

may misunderstand that the branch was swept by the tsunami. 

The branch is located in Kanagawa-ken Ebina-shi south-west of Tokyo and throughout this area was not affected by the tsunami. 

In fact I was in Ota, Tokyo in nursing school that day a few 20km from the branch, the branch brothers who were the instructors of the day and at all times been in telephone communication with the branch. 

Yesterday we were given instructions to work with pre-cooked food to send to the brethren. the affected area, yet we have no more news.

Thank you all for your emails, we’re all right. In fact we spent most of the day in the service and every Saturday (we went to preach to the mountains, far from the sea because we were on alert by the tsunami was coming back) and people hear us very well, better than before! Place literature, we read texts and to talk to the book teaches (which almost never happens, because they almost always close the door soon.) 

Some old ladies were grateful for the information and for the comfort of the biblical message in these times of distress. We have not heard from our brothers in northern Japan where he was the great earthquake and tsunami. Masahiko just a friend called Bethel Takaya. His family lives in Sendai, a city with major damage and killed by the tsunami. His family reached to evacuate on time, that saved their lives, only their house was swept away by the sea. We are awaiting instructions from Bethel to see if they need to go to help our brothers and all people who live there. We know we live in the past few days and soon these things will be things of the past. 

Yesterday when we were preaching in the mountains, the people there also was afraid, but not by the Tsunami but does not reach that far, but because this is an area of ??danger due to landslides. They can arrive suddenly and sometimes so strong that blow down the houses and causing extensive damage. Then I felt that there was no safe place to run, all we can do (and most likely) is “Refugees in the name of the Lord.” 

I can not stop thinking about how deep the meaning of those words and felt so comforted to know that we have Jehovah as our refuge. Times are tough, but it’s also an opportunity to strengthen our faith and show our Christian love to our brothers and all people who need our help.
