Witnesses begin “Remain Close to Jehovah!” conventions
NEW YORK—Jehovah’s Witnesses announce the start of their 2010 “Remain Close to Jehovah!” three-day conventions and warmly invite all to attend. The first of these events will begin this week on Friday, May 21, in five locations in the United States: West Palm Beach, Florida; Jersey City, New Jersey; Turnersville, New Jersey; Brooklyn, New York; and Queens, New York. Continuing through mid-September, there will be a total of 356 conventions in 90 cities in the continental United States. Conventions will be held in English, as well as in Spanish and 14 other languages.
The “Remain Close to Jehovah!” series of conventions will also be held in various locations around the world through January 2011. All are invited to attend. There is no admission fee, nor are collections taken at any convention or meeting of Jehovah’s Witnesses. There are over 7,300,000 Witnesses associated with more than 105,000 congregations worldwide.
