Make a Wish Child Tour

One of our beautiful little children…Jehovah is so proud of them….we are too!
Teach your children!!  This little girl had the perfect response to refusing a blood transfusion and look how Jehovah rewarded her!!!
This Friday, May 18 “Make a Wish” child Simone Gionfriddo, eight years old, will tour Brooklyn Bethel.  She will be accompanied by her parents Darbe and Susan and her younger brother Damian.
Darbe served here in Brooklyn Bethel during the mid to late 1990’s.
Two years ago Simone developed life-threatening illnesses: autoimmune encephalitis and dysautonomia.  At the time, the doctors told six-year-old Simone that she would need a blood transfusion.
She refused. The doctors asked her parents to leave the room.  The doctors again pressured Simone to take blood. She asked them: “If I was allergic to peanut butter, would you force me to take peanut butter?”
They said no. She said that she was allergic spiritually to blood and that it would make her very sick spiritually.  The doctors then added a note to Simone’s chart that she had allergies to blood products!

Six months ago she went into kidney failure, so doctors had to change her medication regimen and recommended that the Make-A-Wish Foundation get involved with her case.
Currently, Simone’s health seems to be fairly stable for this trip.
When asked by the Make a Wish foundation where she wanted to go, she said New York and Bethel, she wanted to see where her dad and mom met and where her dad worked at Bethel.
